DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

INSURANCE INFORMATION

Many families choose to use their insurance benefits to support the cost of care. Profound Birth is out-of-network with private and public insurance plans (including Medicaid). We accept HSA/FSA payments, and provide flexible payment plans to support accessibility.

As an out-of-network practice, our families choose to participate in a self-pay model of care, which allows us to provide comprehensive, individualized care without the limitations that insurance companies often place on prenatal, birth, and postpartum services.

Our professional biller assists families with verification of benefits, gap exceptions, and detailed invoices for insurance and health share reimbursement. (password: birth) We highly recommend families interested in reimbursement contact our biller to understand their out-of-network benefits.

THE VALUE OF MIDWIFERY CARE

Relationship-centered midwifery care, especially planned home birth, often provides meaningful value when compared to the conventional medical model, both in experience and overall cost. We encourage families to view midwifery care as an investment in a supported pregnancy, a safer and more personalized birth experience, and a healthier postpartum transition.

Studies have consistently shown that midwifery-led care is associated with fewer unnecessary interventions, reduced use of medications and procedures, and lower rates of hospitalization for low-risk pregnancies. When care supports physiologic pregnancy and birth and focuses on education, continuity, and prevention, families often experience both better outcomes and fewer downstream healthcare costs.
